FAQ
Q: How long does it take to have a portrait done?
A: While every piece is different, typically a portrait takes about one to two weeks from start to finish. The process starts with the client sending me a quality photo (no cell phone pics please). I then do one round of sketches and from there, the client decides on a final composition, size and medium. I then complete the final portrait, email a proof to the customer and upon approval and payment, mail out the original art.
Q: How much does it cost ?
A: Prices are dependent on each client’s needs but a list of general estimates is listed on the ABOUT page. Email me for a quote specific to your portrait. A $50 deposit is required for all portraits before any artwork is started but this is included in the total price of the piece. The remaining balance is to be paid once the final proof has been approved. The price includes one round of revisions (if necessary) to the final portrait. If more revisions are requested, a small fee will be charged. Shipping is included when the client is given their specific price quote.
Q: What do I need to get a portrait made?
All you need is a high quality photo of your subject matter. If you have multiple photos and your not sure which one will work the best, feel free to send more than one.
Q: I forgot my husband’s birthday and need the portrait in 3 days! Is this possible?
Yes I can do a portrait with a faster turnaround, for an additional fee and also with the compliance of the client. I can make small changes on the final artwork if necessary, but there must be an understanding that only so much can be done under a tight deadline.
